Leo Luna Private Event | Cyanotype Workshop

Led by local artist and educator, Bregan Ford, this workshop includes all materials and instruction necessary for each participant to complete one ~21” x 21” cyanotype-printed silk scarf.

What's a cyanotype?
Cyanotypes are an early photography technique where objects are placed directly onto pre-treated paper or fabric before they are exposed to the sun. Once a sun exposure is made, the objects are removed, and the print is washed to reveal a stunning array of blues and whites.

What to expect.
Participants will receive a relaxed overview of the cyanotype process, including discussion and exploration of how different objects print, before beginning their final design. Participants will then choose from a selection of provided materials to create a custom design. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring items of their own to include, creating a truly unique piece.

During the exposure portion of the class, participants are invited to relax and socialize before washing and drying their finished piece.

Seasonal NA refreshments provided.

What portion of my registration is donated?
25% of all full price registrations will be donated to the benefiting organization.
